My Norelco's battery was not charging as well as it used to so I used birthday money to buy this razor. After about a week, I learned how to use it so that I am getting a very close shave in comparison. My wife agrees that it does a better job. The feel is a bit more harsh than my Norelco, but it doesn't give me any more razor burn. note that I do use pre-shave lotion. The base is large and a bit annoying, but it works well. I have been sealing it and moving off the counter and only using it every 4 days and it seems fine that way instead of cleaning every day as they suggest.

While it does a close shave, if you have a more ample face, you will be running it over and over again to get those last hairs.
It does take about 90 days before your face "adjusts" to the shaver. However, the biggest problem thus far is that the shaver will not charge in the cleaning station, despite the manual's assurance that it will charge in the cleaning station.
I have to take mine out about once a week to charge it, overall a minor inconvenience, but for the money, should not have happen in the first place.
Braun advises I drive over 1 hour to get the shaver "serviced" I say, I just won't get another Braun and not have to worry about it.
